Introduction

Welcome to all the rambling that goes on in my head, as well as all the random shenanigans I'll be up to for the next year or so. If there's anything you want to hear about in particular please send me an email and let me know or post a message. I apologize in advance for any inadvertent French I may slip in and my overly-wordy style of writing.

Favorite Moments

Sitting on a cove by the Mediterranean in Marseille waiting for the sun to set with a couple of beers and some silly conversation with Susie, Rene and Ross.
Staying up late with Meg over a good giggle and a good bottle of wine before her 2:30 am departure for the States
Walking through my first Provençal marché in Vaison-la-Romaine surronded by the smells of lavender and herbes de Provence and the sound of some guy rockin out with some folky guitar songs
Picnic lunch with mom, dad and Meg on the bank of the Seine across from Notre-dame
Getting lunch ready with everyone at the squat in Dijon with the music blaring and everyone dancing around, quite a collaborative free-spirited moment
Eating a huge falafel around the corner of Mi-va-mi with Sarah and Cindy
Rolling down the windows and rocking out to some random monk music we found on a Belgian radio station as if it were gangster rap as we rode down the main drag to get to the North Sea.
Saturday afternoon hiking around the waterfall, playing in the woods and catching the sunset atop mount poupet
Listening to my kids ooh and ahh at a slideshow of NYC pics and later sing "Hello Goodbye" for Luke
My French feast with Luke: cheese, baguette, oranges, juice, wine and a tarte all bought fresh at individual stores in the Latin Quarter in Paris, eaten along the Seine riverbank facing Notre Dame before seeing each other off back to MontB and NYC.
Lying on a rock overlooking the Franche-comte country side from Mont Poupet, scared, thrilled and totally at peace all at the same time.
Playing Jungle Speed (a popular game) with the Perrots and Divya on her visit
Hearing "La vie en rose" as I left my French friend's party, my first truly enjoyable party with French kids my own age
Teaching my Students to Play air guitar to “hello, Goodbye”
Spending sunday with the Perrots, watching movies and playing board games
Staying in the Basel YMCA
Lying in a French dirt Field at night looking at the stars
